The ‘purple one’, the ‘vampire mask’, the ‘one that looks like blood’… while our fabled AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has been given many names and claims, it certainly isn’t for the faint of heart.
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) exfoliate the surface of the skin to produce a smoother, brighter, more even-toned appearance, while beta hydroxy acids (BHA) work both on the surface, and inside the pores, to help clear congestion. This combined 30% AHA/BHA solution offers deeper exfoliation to help:
- Fight the appearance of visible congestion
- Improve skin radiance
- Improve the appearance of skin texture
- Reduce the look of fine lines
This product contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative which offers a soothing benefit against the discomfort associated with acid use, while providing this formula with its deep red hue. This colour may vary seasonally, and this variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time.
To use, apply a thin, even layer to cleansed, dried skin, across the face and neck using fingertips, avoiding the eye area. Do not leave on for longer than 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes both during application and rinse off. It is not recommended to use this formula more than twice per week, and our Peeling Solution should not be used in the same regimen as other strong actives such as pure Vitamin C, other direct acids, or retinoids.
Some important bits to note:
- This low-viscosity solution is only suitable for experienced adult users of acid exfoliation.
- This product may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
